to be a Hero - Military and Manhood. for Complex Typography Studio, Dana Gez, third year.

This was one of the most challenging and absorbing exercises I did at Bezalel. I submitted it in my third year as part of the Complex Typography Studio, guided by Dana Gez.
I collected texts about the different expressions of masculinity in the Israeli military experience, and about the influence the army has on the nature of the men around us. In my design, I aimed to create a stressful, raw, and gray atmosphere, yet still inviting to read - one that generates closeness and intimacy.
Like a hug between two men who may not know each other, but recognize a shared pain in their eyes.
