As the fianl course assignment, we were asked to illustrate a map of a new, fantastical world. I chose to depict the area surrounding the city of Khan Younis in the style of a tourist map, in an. The project was submitted in March 2024, shortly after I witnessed firsthand what had become of Khan Younis during the war in Gaza .Through this work, I attempted to imagine a utopian world — one grounded in a calm, ordinary reality

In this project I aimed to honor the local typography and spatial identity — driven by a hope for a better future for all who live in this land.
